Meyer Burger to propose the election of four members of the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting 2019
Eric Meurice, non-executive member of the Board of Directors of Meyer Burger Technology Ltd (SIX Swiss Exchange: MBTN) informed the Board that he will not stand for re-election at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders, to be held on 2 May 2019.
Eric Meurice was elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Soitec (listed on Euronext Paris), a world leader in designing and manufacturing innovative semiconductor materials, as announced by Soitec on 28 March 2019. In order to be able to dedicate enough time for his additional responsibilities as Chairman, Eric Meurice has decided to reduce his involvement in Meyer Burger Technology Ltd.
In view of the company’s strategic focus on cell/module technologies (i.e. Heterojunction, SmartWire Connection, perovskite and further next generation cell/module technologies), the Board of Directors has decided to remain with a Board of four individuals and propose for election as members of the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting: Dr Remo Lütolf (as member and Chairman of the Board of Directors), Hans-Michael Hauser, Dr Franz Richter, Andreas R. Herzog.
The Board of Directors and the management team would like to thank Eric Meurice for his valuable contributions and wish him all the best for the future, both professionally and personally.
