Matrix assembly system for busbar cells

The MAS combines two best-in-class tools: the MB Stringer 2000 and the layup system

The stringer 2000 combines up to 2,000 cells per hour using up to 5 busbars. The strings are transported fully automated to the advanced layup system that assembles the modules. The layup system requires just 67 seconds for each module, allowing it to produce 3,800 cells per hour.

Perfectly tuned to one another: the MB Stringer STR2000 and the new optimized layup solution all in the Matrix Assembly System. The MAS3.8BB processes up to 3,800 cells per hour at a string breakage rate of less than 0.2%. The stringer can process 3 to 5 busbar cells. The changeover is entirely straightforward. The transition from 3 to 4 or 5 busbar cells is completed in under an hour. In addition, the system can handle extremely thin cells of between 140 and 180μm.
